Arco Iris Samba in Paris
Photos of Arco Iris samba band in Paris, May 2005. I was playing high surdo for most of the weekend.
It was also very exciting to be in Paris on the day of the historic (and excellent) 'Non' vote against the proposed new European constitution.

A brilliant community street party held in the evening. In the UK, there probably would have had to be bureaucratic forms filled out in triplicate, insurance issues, and police. In practice there were no problems and a great community atmosphere.

On the Sunday morning, there was a street sale. The rug on the left can only be described as a "find". Click on it for a larger version.
