Photos from the 2005 General Election for the Cambridge constituency, when I stood as the Green candidate for Cambridge Green Party, getting 1,245 votes.

Although Anne Campbell is to be commended for a range of things including speaking up for cyclists in Cambridge and beyond, her unacceptable support for variable tuition fees, and her support for the government's ghastly proposal for a National Identity Register (commonly known as 'ID Cards'), as well as her government's lack of action on things like the environment and transport, saw her vote plummet considerably.

The votes all counted. Only 1,245 Green votes, compared to a lot more for Labour and the Lib Dems!

It's not every day you get to vote for yourself in a General Election!
