September 11th
Photos from a protest on September 11th, 2001. The protest was at the holding of an arms fair in London. The irony of the event became all the greater after reading the newspapers later in the day. Surprisingly, the BBC reported it.
Starting at the station in Docklands. On the way to the 'fair' we were encaged by police.
It was a very colourful and joyous event.
The banner reads 'Who are the terrorists?'. (Click to enlarge.)
The festivities started when we reached the Excel centre where the fair was taking place.
There was music and entertainment, and everything was very good-natured.
A picture of the rinky-dink, a machine made up of 4 bikes and which includes a sound-system. It's something of a regular at many protest events like this one.
